A dyed-in-the-wool outdoorsman, Malcolm Corcoran holds a BA from Université Laval, in Québec, a Bachelor degree in physical education from the University of Moncton, New-Brunswick and a Master degree in sports administration from the University of Ottawa, Ontario. He has produced several audiovisual documents on cross-country skiing and is the owner of Sport Échange Outaouais, a sports equipment warehouse store in Gatineau (Hull), Québec.
Because of his passion for cross-country skiing he could not help but notice how little information was available for skiers on waxing and how inconsistent the information on the subject was.
After several meetings and discussions with many experienced skiers and based on his own experience, acquired during numerous outings and marathons, Malcolm Corcoran summarizes in his book the most recent ski waxing techniques.
