Who will benefit from this book?

This book was written as much for beginners as for advanced skiers.

Some parts of the book can also apply to downhill skiing and snowboarding as well as to cross-country skiing.

About the author
A dyed-in-the-wool outdoorsman, Malcolm Corcoran holds a BA from Université Laval, in Québec, a Bachelor degree in physical education from the University of Moncton, New-Brunswick and a Master degree in sports administration from the University of Ottawa, Ontario. He has produced several audiovisual documents on cross-country skiing and is the owner of Sport Échange Outaouais, a sports equipment warehouse store in Hull, Québec.

Because of his passion for cross-country skiing he could not help but notice how little information was available for skiers on waxing and how inconsistent the information on the subject was.

After several meetings and discussions with many experienced skiers and based on his own experience, acquired during numerous outings and marathons, Malcolm Corcoran summarizes in his book the most recent ski waxing techniques.

Two examples of the waxing technique shown in the book Waxing for Skiers (CAN):

  1- Waxing sequence
2- Glide wax application
